A Little Kabul crawl on Fremont Blvd: kabobs at De Afghanan, then mantu at Afghan Awasana. Chaat Bhavan when we need a crowd-pleaser.

The main neighborhoods of Fremont, Newark and Union City: what it's like to live in each one, the kinds of homes you'll find, and what's changing.
Foothills, history and the mission.
Fremont's historic foothill district, built around Mission San José (founded 1797) and the trailheads for Mission Peak.
Mission San Jose sits at the foot of Mission Peak, around the mission founded in 1797 and its rebuilt adobe church. Streets range from modest mid-century homes to large custom estates up the hill, with Old Mission Park, the Sabercat Creek Trail and the Mission Peak trailhead close by.
Mission Peak overhead, the mission down the street.
Mission San Jose is one of the most sought-after parts of Fremont, and there are never many homes for sale. The range is wide, from mid-century homes that need work to custom estates on the hill, so value changes a lot from street to street. Ask us for recent sales before you set a budget.
